Brief Synopsis: Lane (Mia Farrow) is spending the summer in her childhood home in the country. A party is thrown with guests including her fawning neighbour, her brooding crush, her best friend and love rival and her charismatic mother. A power cut causes secrets to emerge and hearts to get broken.
Good Points: There aren’t any. although you can marvel at the completely beige palette of this movie, if you feel so inclined.
Bad Points: What sounds promising doesn’t deliver. I watched the first 30 minutes before realising that I hadn’t taken in a word any of the characters had said. Plus, Dianne West’s voice is REALLY irritating.
Good For: Using as an emergency ashtray?
